Dr. Candace McBride, a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist, was born and raised in Lufkin, Texas where she attended Lufkin High School and then attended Stephen F. Austin State University. In 2002, she graduated from SFA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She then went on to pursue a doctor of optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2007. During her time at the University of Houston, she completed two externships in San Antonio, Texas at Lackland Air Force Base and Sharp Eye Consultants.
While completing her externships, she acquired a vast knowledge of specialty contact lenses and therapeutic optometry as well as various pathology and comanagement of cataract surgery and glaucoma management.
Dr. McBride married her husband, Chip, in 2003 and they now have 3 children, 2 daughters Peyton and Ainsley and a son born in 2017 named Owen.
Dr. McBride moved to Magnolia, Texas in 2007 and began her career working at a private practice in The Woodlands. She soon decided that she wanted to start her own practice and formed InVision EyeCare in the fall of 2008.
Dr. McBride strives to provide the highest quality of personalized eye care and customer service around. Patient relationships are very important to her and key to the success of
InVision Eyecare.
Stephanie Michele Davis was born and raised in Kentucky. She graduated from Powell County High School in 1990 and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. That fall, she started studies at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, and graduated from there with a Doctor of Optometry degree in May, 2000. During that time she completed externships at James H. Quillen VA hospital in Johnson City, TN and The Eye Institute in New Port Richie, FL. She is therapeutically and glaucoma certified in the state of Texas and is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Davis has been in full-time practice in Texas since July of 2000 and has valuable experience in private, commercial, and ophthalmology practices in East Texas and more recently, in The Woodlands/Conroe area. One of the most common compliments that she receives is that her exams are thorough and efficient without making the patient feel rushed. It is very important to her that people feel relaxed during the exam and encourages questions and two-way communication. She really enjoys getting to know her patients personally and has met so many wonderful people since starting work at InVision EyeCare in 2015.
Dr. Davis married her husband Aric in 2008 and they have three daughters, Chloe (8), Emmie (6), and Aubrey (3). Her family is of the utmost importance to her and she absolutely loves being a mother and being around children in general. When not working, she enjoys reading, doing yoga, cooking, listening to music, and travelling. She trained at David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport in Spring, TX and obtained her private pilot license which she hopes to put to more use in the future.
